A salsa opera reimagining Dante’s Inferno inside a notorious Venezuelan political prison.

Tienda tells the story of a musician-shopkeeper in St. Paul whose grocery store becomes a sanctuary for a community grappling with displacement and the search for home. Set against the mass Mexican repatriations of the 1930s, the opera  shows that we the USA has always struggled to figure out whose home this is.

Memory Boy  is a coming-of-age story set in a dystopian future. It explores how the  wisdom of the past becomes the essential tool for survival in a broken world.

Set in the afterlife, Generalissimo reconstructs the memory of a fictional dictator to examine the psychological drivers of absolute power and the erosion of democracy in Latin America.
